A MAN man caught shoplifting admitted to police that he stole to fund his drugs habit.
Adnan Liaqat Choudhary, 31, of Bank Top, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of shoplifting and asked for one offence to be taken into consideration. He was made subject to a six months drug rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay £150 court charge, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
Angela Rossi, prosecuting, said her client had been honest about his problem with heroin.
