RESIDENTS have until the end of the month to say whether they think dogs should be banned from Hyndburn’s public parks, play areas and bowling greens.
A consultation, which also includes a question whether dogs should always be kept on leads, is being carried out by the council.

The council is proposing to introduce Public Space Protection Orders, which will allow better control of how public land can be used by dog owners.
Residents have until Friday, October 30, to either complete a questionnaire online or comment in writing to Tony Akrigg, Hyndburn Borough Council, Willows Lane Depot, Willows Lane, Accrington, BB5 0RT.
