BAXENDEN bride Jenna Wallis looked stunning on her wedding day, but her glorious gown hides a stunning secret..in her lifetime she’s literally eaten all the pies.

And Jenna’s Pie Do marriage ceremony saw the couple’s 150 guests chomp their way through literally hundreds of Holland’s Pies at the reception at Statham Lodge Hotel in Lymm, Cheshire.

As the nation’s number one ‘Pie bride’ her big day was attended by a Holland’s Pies van driven by Adam Grey to take her to the ceremony, her wedding cake was the shape of a three-tier pie, the guests got pies aplenty and the highlight of their honeymoon is a trip to the pie factory.

Jenna reckons she’s consumed 3,000 pies so far and her love affair with pies started as a child living just a stone’s throw away from the Holland’s Pies factory in Baxenden.

And love was in the air when she met cigarette salesman Stephen Tobin, 35, who he shared her passion for a moist crust as well as a deep filling.

Jenna, 34, who works as a sister on a critical care unit at a Manchester hospital, said: “The significance of the pies for myself is strong. I grew up in Baxenden on Manchester Road just down the way from the Holland’s factory.

“I remember the gorgeous smell of them cooking at 4 o’clock in the afternoons and that left a lasting impression on me.

“Though fortunately, not my waistline as though I reckon I’ve eaten two Holland’s pies a week for 30 years I still weigh in at 56 kilos, or around nine stone.

“We now live in Lymm and the local fish and chip shop sells Holland’s Pies – it’s a dream location for me.

”Before the couple moved to leafy Lymm in Cheshire they lived in Flixton, where Kongs takeaway did their favourite pies and the pair and their sons George, five, and Harry, two, still regularly tuck into chippy suppers.

The father of the bride Graham Wallis, 64, is a fan of Holland’s meat and potato and Jenna’s mum Pat, also 64, likes munching traditional meat pies.

Jenna added: “ My favourites are the cheese and onion ones and Stephen likes the mince beef and onion and the small meat pies like my mum.’

Stephen said: “You’d think I’d eaten all the pies, not Jenna, as my waistline is under more strain.”
