A CAR boot sale in Darwen raised £156 for three-year-old Nicholas Robinson, of Beech Street, Great Harwood.
Lois Thornber, 63, of Ratcliffe Street, Darwen, organised the sales for the Highfield Club in her street and decided to raise money for the little boy who suffers from Alpers' Disease.
The condition mirrors the illness suffered by Lois's granddaughter, Lauren Thornber, who died aged just two-and-a-half in 1999.
