A 30-YEAR-OLD man was jailed for 28 days for stealing a £2 pack of cheese slices.
Blackburn magistrates heard he was due to be recalled on prison licence for a further 28 days as a result of the offence.

Kevin Anthony Duxbury, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing cheese from the One Stop Shop.
As well as the prison sentence, he was ordered to pay £150 criminal court charge and £80 victim surcharge.
Deborah Morgan, defending, said that Duxbury had been released from prison with no money just two days prior to the incident and was living rough.
“He stole the cheese to eat it,” said Miss Morgan.
