LEGENDARY DJ Dave Haslam will launch his new book at King George's Hall, Blackburn, on September 11 at 6.30pm.
Life After Dark is a must-have for every music lover. It takes the reader from vice-ridden Victorian venues to acid house and beyond; from Mecca dance halls to mods in basement dives; from psychedelic light shows to high street discos; from the Roxy to the Hacienda; from the Krays to the Slits; and from reggae sound systems to rave nights in Stoke.
The event will include Haslam in-conversation with a panel of guests, and a special collaborative music performance. The panel features David Shepperd (Music Journalist and author – Mojo, Q, Uncut and the Observer), Paul Stan Nataraj (Sound and music researcher) and Pete Eastwood (Founder-Night at the Museum Live)
He also wants to hear audience stories too during the evening which will celebrate the value of venues, local and nationwide, past and present.
Tickets: 0844 847 1664.
