A NEW pub in Accrington was forced to temporarily close on Saturday after travellers arrived in their beer garden.
Bosses at the new Marston’s hostelry, The Brickworks, in Hyndburn Road, said the premises were closed ‘for safety reasons’.

Customers at the new bar, which created 45 jobs for the town, have rallied around The Brickworks and condemned the travellers.
Staff were praised for trying to maintain order, as management reopened to customers yesterday.
Minna Rory said: “We had a lovely meal there. The service was great despite the place being rammed.
“It felt like something would happen since there were so many men drinking in the beer garden.
“Odd that people would be attracted to a family food pub for drinking. We look forward to it reopening and will be going back.”
Liz Pollard added: “The staff were lovely and gave us two £5 vouchers so we will be back next week.”
