COLNE Little Theatre opened the joint am dram fundraiser The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow with an excerpt from the play Bouncers.

The show at Pendle Hippodrome Theatre on Friday brought together all the talent from East Lancashire's amateur theatre scene.

The show was organised to raise funds for the Encephalitis Society and 22-year-old Pendle Hippodrome member Katie Chadwick who was struck down with the rare brain illness.

Katie was in a medically-induced coma for five months and although still in hospital is slowly making a recovery.

She took the lead role in Annie The Musical - hence the show's title - when she attended Primet High School in Colne.

The show featured sparkling performances from Basics Junior Theatre School, Encore Dance School, Moorland International Ballet Elite, Pendle Hippodrome Theatre company and its youth theatre.

Bouncers was directed by Gilly and Steve Grist and featured Steve as Ralph, Kevin Riley as Eric, Josh Hindle as Les and Paul Thompson as Judd.

A great night's entertainment was had by all.
