Buck, of Borrowdale Avenue, Blackburn, was convicted in his absence of assaulting Mr Lynn. He was made subject to an electronically monitored curfew for 10 weeks between 8 pm and 8 am, ordered to pay £100 compensation, £300 costs and £60 victim surcharge.

He was also made subject to a restraining order for 12 months which prohibits him from having any contact with Mr Lynn.

Andy Robinson, prosecuting, said Buck turned up at Mr Lynn’s flat asking for painkillers.

“When Mr Lynn opened the door the defendant grabbed him by the arm and tried to push him,” said Mr Robinson.
