A RIBBLE Valley Britain's Got Talent singer returns to her roots this month - supporting a saxophone legend in Lancashire.

Ella Shaw from Langho is on the same bill as Snake Davis at The Grand in Clitheroe on July 31.

Davis will be joined by Gareth Moulton of the Cutting Crew on vocals to play more than 20 classics, including Baker Street, Careless Whisper, Still Crazy after all these Years, Respect, Yakety Yak, and his own solos from Million Love Songs, Moving on Up, Search for the Hero and Lisa Stansfield's Change.

Shaw, a former pupil of St Mary’s RC Primary School at Langho and St Augustine’s RC High School at Billington, just missed a place in the final of this year's televised competition.

The teenager, who previously sang her self-penned Summertime, belted out an impressive cover of Rozalla’s 1991 hit Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good).

And, despite her exit from the show, she still wowed the judges and even caused co-host Ant McPartlin to his miss cue during rehearsals.

David Walliams said: “It was rather cool and edgy. It was a stunning performance and very brave to change from singing your own song to doing that.”

Tickets cost £12.50 and the show starts at 7pm.
