AN Earby-based insurance company's golf day has raised over £1,500 for Pendleside Hospice.

West Craven Insurance Services held the event, its fourth annual charity golf day held at Skipton Golf Club, with the 17 competing teams.

This year’s winning team was from Real Financial Services Ltd. Nearest the pin was won by Stuart Mulligan from Indigo Financial, longest drive was won by Stephen Greenwood from Rolls Royce and target golf was won by Ben from Tailor Made Sourcing Ltd.

Following registration players enjoyed a pre-match brunch before taking to the course and proceedings culminated back at the club house with a three course meal and presentation.

West Craven Insurance Service’s Managing Director Ian Clarkson, said: “Once again, everybody really enjoyed the event - it was a great day.

“Our sponsorship of the golf club is part of our support for our community, and so is our continued support for Pendleside hospice, which is why we’re delighted to have raised £1,500 to help with the wonderful work they do."

Sammi Bracewell, fundraiser at Pendleside Hospice, said: “Proceeds from their Golf Day will support the vital work we do to promote and enhance quality of life for people with a life-limiting illness, and their families.”
