BRITAIN’S Got Talent hopeful Ella Shaw has missed out on a place in the final.
The 18-year-old from Langho was third on stage in tonight’s live semi-final, but she failed to earn enough votes to stand a chance of making the weekend’s final.
Having performed her own song with just a piano in the auditions, Ella ditched the instrument to perform standing up at a microphone in the live semi-final as she gave her take on the 1991 hit Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good).
The judges noted how nervous she looked, but were still complimentary about her performance.
Simon Cowell told Ella she had ‘real star quality’, while David Walliams said the performance was ‘cool and edgy’.
Alesha Dixon said Ella had ‘great stage presence’ and while Amanda Holden said she ‘loved the interpretation’ of the song.
But with only two of the nine acts going through to Sunday’s live final Ella faced tough competition and she could only finish seventh in the public vote.
