A BLACKBURN man has died after a car crash in the Ribble Valley this morning.
Lancashire police said the 44-year-old driver was involved in a collision with a dry stone wall near the entrance to Smithies Bridge Farm, in Sawley.

The incident, on the A59 between Clitheroe and Gisburn, happened at around 12.25am.
The man, whose name has yet to be made public, was pronounced dead at the scene and the road was closed for three-and-a-half hours while police investigated.

Sgt Tracey Ward, of Lancashire’s road policing unit, said her team were keen to trace anyone who may have seen the black Fiat Punto before the crash.
She said: “We are appealing for anyone with information about the collision to come forward and help us with our enquiries. Understandably this is a difficult time for the family of the deceased and specialist officers are supporting them.”
