A MAN apparently looking to jump from a road bridge in Blackburn during the tea-time rush hour has been led to safety.
Police were called to the Freckleton Street bridge just before 5pm to reports of a man in his 40s stood on the bridge, threatening to jump.

But by around 5.05pm he had been persuaded to walk away from the bridge and he is now understood to be undergoing a medical assessment.
No traffic diversions were put into place as a result of the incident.
