A 37-YEAR-OLD man gave his brother’s details when he was arrested for shoplifting on three separate occasions.

Hargreaves, of Delph Close, Blackburn, admitted three charges of perverting the course of justice and three charges of shoplifting. He was sent to Preston Crown Court to be sentenced.
Prosecutor Catherine Allan said Hargreaves was brought to court for allegedly breaching bail conditions. “When he was brought into the dock his solicitor realised it was not Warren Turner but Michael Hargreaves and the defendant admitted using his brothers details,” said Miss Allan.
“It was the third time he had been arrested for shoplifting and used his brother’s name.”
Imran Hussain, defending, said the brother was in hospital.
