WOUNDED: The horrific injuries
A BURNLEY man has appeared before town magistrates charged in relation to an incident which saw a man allegedly have his fingers severed by a meat cleaver.
Anthony Power, 23, of Clare Street, is accused of burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm at Penistone Street, while armed with a meat cleaver, and unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm to James Ward, each on April 4.

There is expected to be a plea and directions hearing on May 7.
