ORGANISERS of this year's Lechlade Festival have promised it will be an "unmissable" event and people are urged to secure their tickets as soon as they can.

The annual family music festival will see famous rock band Status Quo take the stage in May and tickets are already selling out fast.

Lechlade Music Festival is on a bank holiday weekend - running from 22-24 May.

So what are the 12 things that make this particular festival - run mostly by volunteers - stand out?

3. The festival site is fully fenced, secure and safe for children to explore - it really is family-friendly.

4. It takes place in Riverside Park on the banks of the Thames in Lechlade. Visitors have the chance to stay all week and explore the rest of the Cotswolds.

The children can listen and participate in the story-telling tent, take part in the treasure hunt and play to their hearts’ content in the play tent.
