PLANS have been unveiled which could see a landmark pub on the edge of Burnley spring back into life.
The Bull and Butcher, on the A682, has been empty for four years after it was last used as an Indian restaurant.
But now San Marco, a collective of Italian eateries, has purchased the building and is aiming to reopen the premises soon.
Proposals have now been lodged by the Preston-based company for a wholesale refurbishment, including a single-storey extenstion to the rear.
Planning agent Hamaad Anwar said: "The Bull and Butcher building is locally listed and is a non-designated heritage asset and therefore great care and consideration has been taken in the design process to ensure the general character of the building is maintained throughout the refurbishment."
The proposed rearrangement of the car park, by the developers, would see 11 disabled spaces created and moved closer to the rear entrance.
