A BURNLEY man has appeared before a Bank Holiday remand court charged with false imprisonment.
Lee Hart, 22, of Ivory Street, was also accused of assaulting Pc Daniel O'Reilly, resisting a police constable and assaulting Lisa Wootton, as part of the same incident.
Hart, who appeared before Blackburn magistrates, did not enter pleas and there was no bail application by defence solicitor Graeme Tindall.
Magistrates told him that the false imprisonment charge could only be dealt with on indictment.
Hart was remanded in custody to appear at Burnley Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing on May 7.
