nursery nurses in the west of Scotland went on strike yesterday, the latest action in the six-month dispute over pay between employers and Unison. The action has been called by the public sector union over the ''persistent refusal'' of employers to ''seriously negotiate'' new grades for Scotland's 5000 nursery nurses.
