East Lancashire residents are being urged to book tickets and avoid disappointment for Kendal Calling 2015.

Cumbria’s biggest music festival will welcome world famous names such as Groove Armada and Less Than Jake to Lowther Deer Park when the festival opens on July 30.

MORE TOP STORIES:

Less Than Jake will be bringing their Florida tinged ska punk to the Main stage alongside Augustines, Hudson Taylor, Blossoms and Sunset Sons.

The line-up for the festival’s Glow Tent is set to include Jaguar Skills, Bondax & Friends, Redlight and Shy FX over the weekend as the funkier elements of the festival begin to come together with plenty more DJs and dance acts in the mix.

At Kendal Calling’s Calling Out stage Dutch Uncles, Boxed In, Flyte, Port Isla, Seafret and Tuff Love were added to the lineup with the news that there are still two headliners to come for the stage.

The festival has also announced that Tim Burgess of The Charlatans will be returning with his own Tim Peaks Coffee. More acts include Blossoms, Prince Fatty featuring Horseman and Drohne.

Organisers had already revealed that the music festival at Hackthorpe would be headlined this summer by festival favourites Elbow, rap legend Snoop Dogg, the Kaiser Chiefs, The Vaccines and James.

Local heroes British Sea Power will also make a welcome return having played the very first Kendal Calling festival 10 years ago.

Kendal Calling founder Andy Smith says: “I think it’s fair to say this year’s line-up is going to take some beating, with an expanded festival seeing headliners over four days and an eclectic spread across all stages.”
