A POLICE officer responding to a report of a drunken man abusing people followed a trail of complaints.
Blackburn magistrates heard Lee Samuel Campbell’s behaviour upset people at B&Q, Asda, Halfords and then Chiquitos, where he was pushing over signs, being abusive and walking out in front of traffic, before the officer caught up with him.
Campbell, 38, of The Salvation Army, Heaton Street, Blackburn admitted, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. He was given a conditional discharge of 12 months and ordered to pay £100 costs.
Gareth Price, defending, said alcohol was clearly an issue in his client’s life.
