Indian film ‘The Lunch Box’ starring Irrfan Khan has received a BAFTA nomination in the Film Not in the English Language category.

The announcement was made by Stephen Fry and Sam Claflin. ‘The Lunch Box’ director Ritesh Batra took to Twitter to share his thoughts: “Love and congrats to the whole team, and thanks @BAFTA for the nomination. So honoured to be nominated alongside my favourite films of the year.”

The winner will be announced at a grand function to be held on 8 February. The ninth edition of British Academy Film Awards will take place at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Stephen Fry will host the award ceremony, which will be broadcast on BBC One.
