POLICE have called for all fans to enjoy tomorrow’s match against Liverpool at Turf Moor peacefully following four arrests after a disturbance at a game earlier this month.

Officers are asking fans to allow plenty of time to get to the ground and if they are travelling in cars, to keep them locked and not to leave valuables on show.

Supporters should also ensure their belongings are kept safe.

Four Burnley fans were arrested following a disturbance after the game with Southampton on December 13.

The four males, aged 16, 17, 17 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit violent disorder. Burnley CID Detective Inspector Martin Melvin said: “Our aim is to ensure public safety and ensure that the match goes ahead without incident.”
