A GLITTERING performance that will certainly get you in the mood for Christmas is just on your doorstep this year, thanks to the King George’s Hall panto.

With a camp fairy, a devious queen, astounding acrobatics and so much more, take your family to see Snow White and you won’t be disappointed.

MORE TOP STORIES:

Blackburn actress Miranda Myles (Snow White) and former Liberty X pop star Kevin Simm (Prince Charming), made a lovely combination as they took on their lead roles, delivering some of the current pop songs to get you singing along.

I was eager to see what comedian Phil Walker could produce this year as he wrote and directed the show.

For over a decade Phil has been the funnyman on stage at King George’s Hall and following years of panto, with his vast experience, he collated a production that was full of energy and enthusiasm and panto perfection.

With a twist on the dwarf characters this year we saw Droopy, Snotty, Freeky, Snoozy, Moody, Giggles and Blushful.

Each of them covered in cheekiness and character that the little ones wanted to see more of.

The wicked queen was as wicked as they come, reducing one poor child to tears and lots of others hiding behind their hands. A job well done as far as evil is concerned.

But don’t let the scariness put you off. Like any other fairytale there’s always a happy ending.

With the puns we love, jokes so bad that we laugh, loads of audience involvement and fantastic choreography, Phil Walker’s production is full of sparkle and cheer.

It’s a fabulous panto in Blackburn this year.

We left the show smiling. It’s perfect to get you into the Christmas spirit while having a jolly good time.
