A TEENAGER became abusive towards police when they stopped him for questioning.

He claimed he was going to be late home for his electronically-monitored curfew.

Blackburn magistrates heard Kyle Andrew Wilson’s language became even more choice when his taxi drove off and he was arrested for being drunk and disorderly.

Wilson, 19, of Industry Street, Darwen, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Mosley Street.

He was committed to Preston Crown Court to be sentenced after magistrates heard the offence put him in breach of two suspended prison sentences imposed by the higher court.

Gareth Price, defending, said his client accepted that swearing at police officers was not appropriate.

“He was trying to explain that he was on a tag and needed to be home for 9pm,” said Mr Price.

“His behaviour was born out of frustration.”
