It has since been established that Simona had friends and family in the Colne area and officers from Greater Manchester have enlisted the help of police in Colne and West Craven.

Domantas Cerapokas was last seen at his home on Trafalgar Grove, Lower Broughton, on Tuesday, October 11.

His mum picked him up to take him to the local park but did not return, police said.

Simona also has links to Lincolnshire.

Domantas’ dad, Audrius Cerapokas said: “I have looked after my little boy since he was six months old and he means the world to me. He fills my days with laughter but since he went missing my days have been filled with nothing but despair.

“I would appeal to anyone who may know where he is to contact police.

“I would also appeal directly to his mum to bring my baby back to me.”

Det Chief Insp Clare Devlin, from Greater Manchester Police, said: “Understandably Domantas’ dad is sick with worry and just wants his little boy to be returned to where he belongs.

“We are very concerned about his welfare and his safety, and are concerned about the amount of time he has been missing. ”
