A REGISTERED sex offender who went missing has handed himself in at Blackburn Police Station.
Tariq Shah, 43, was convicted of rape at Carlisle Crown Court in January 2004 and was sentenced to five years imprisonment and made subject of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO).

He was released from prison for possession of an offensive weapon in September this year and is wanted for a breach of his notification requirements after failing to notify police of his current address.
