Here’s a first look at by Aditya Chopra’s Kill Dil. Bhaiyaji (Govinda) gives shelter and nurtures two abandoned and vulnerable young men and turns them into carefree killers, Dev (Ranveer Singh) and Tutu (Ali Zafar).

Into this milieu, fate throws in the free-spirited Disha (Parineeti Chopra). What follows, in what has so far been their normal lives, is a game of defiance and deception … and love.

Directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Aditya Chopra, Kill Dil is an entertaining thriller about guns and romance.

It could be a return to form of veteran actor Govinda.

He said: “I am not comparing. I am not competing with Ranveer, I am complementing the actors and the story.

“When you are competing, you think differently. When you are with the hero on the script and want each others role to be enhanced.”

Govinda had reservations, though, about taking up the role.

“I was hesitant to do a villain’s role because I have never done it before. When Shah Rukh Khan played a villain in Darr, it worked because of its correct presentation.

“You know, when a hero is playing a villain’s role, it is important how he is presented. Yash Raj Films presents a villain like a hero, who has his own distinct perspective and seems correct in his place.

“A villain is not a baddie per say but a point of view of another character.”
