A TWO-day ‘karaoke extravaganza’ has been held in memory of murder victim Jane Clough.

The event, at Brierfield Liberal Club on Saturday and Sunday, was to raise cash for abused people via the Pendle Domestic Violence Initiative (PDVI).

Jane’s parents, John and Penny Clough, from Barrowford, opened and closed the event on both days in memory of their 26-year-old daughter, who was stabbed 71 times at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where she worked, by her ex-partner Jonathan Vass in July 2010.

Vass was on bail awaiting trial for 13 rape and assault charges when he stalked Miss Clough on social media and murdered her. He was jailed for a minimum of 30 years.

Mr Clough said: “I’m really pleased to see anybody raising funds for Pendle Domestic Abuse Initiative.”
