FORMER staff and pupils from Darwen Technical School held their final reunion and toured the redeveloped school building.
The school in Knott Street has been converted into apartments almost 20 years after closing as Darwen Moorland High School’s lower school.
Dozens of people turned out for the reunion and toured the apartments in split groups to see what had happened to the building in which they were educated.
The Victorian gothic building opened in 1894 and was the grammar school until 1939, reopening as the technical school in 1945 and gaining college status in the 1950s.
It became Moorland lower school in 1972 before closing in 1995
