A 39-year-old woman appeared at Burnley Crown Court accused of falsely imprisoning a couple at Nelson.
Polish national Anna Marczuk-Franczak, of Elizabeth Street, Nelson, is also charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm against the man, who she is alleged to have stabbed.
He is said by the prosecution to have suffered a ‘life -threatening injury’ and had surgery.
She is further facing an allegation of assault by beating against the woman. The alleged offences against the complainants, who are partners, are all said to have taken place on July 26.
Marczuk- Franczak was bailed until November 7 at a preliminary hearing.
She has already been ordered to surrender her national identification document by Pennine magistrates.
Other bail conditions are that she must live and sleep at her home address, observe a daily curfew between 7pm and 7am and must report to Nelson police station every day between noon and 2pm.
