AN ornate chandelier has been returned to take pride of place in the Great Hall at Towneley Hall – after it had a little accident.
Six months ago the glasswork slipped, during a routine bulb change by workmen, prompting a repair operation.
And now after the 50-year-old chandelier was cleaned and rewired, it has been restored to its rightful place at the Grade One listed building, much to the delight of exhibitions manager Robert Drake, right.
The chandelier is one of a collection of four in the hall, which is becoming a popular venue for weddings and civil partnerships.
