A 24-YEAR-old woman claimed benefits as a single parent despite living with her partner.
Blackburn magistrates heard Alisha Finn received more than £15,000 she was not entitled to, before investigators uncovered the fraud.
Finn, of Rothesay Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to failing to notify a change in circumstances which affected her entitlement to income support and housing benefit between February 2012 and February 2014.
She was made subject to community supervision for 12 months and ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work and pay £100 costs.
Robin Phoenix, defending, said Finn had entered into an agreement to repay all the money.
