RESIDENTS in Burnley have been left without water since before 9am.

Supplier United Utilities received calls this morning from residents in Coverdale Way that there was no water coming out of taps.

A leak was spotted in the road after a water pipe burst.

Engineers are currently on the scene and are repairing the fault.

A spokesman said: “We’re sorry for the trouble this may be causing you and we will get your taps flowing normally again as quickly as we can.

“You may have noticed that the water is coming out of your tap slower than usual or may have gone off altogether.

“We’re sorry about this and will try and get your taps flowing normally as quickly as we can.”

“Our team of engineers have arrived on site and repairs will commence as soon as it is safe to do so.

“We will work as quickly as we can to get your taps flowing normally again.”
