JULIE Neville wanted customers to know the naked truth of her devotion to vegetarianism – so she figured the ‘au naturel’ look was the perfect recipe for success.

The mother-of-two, from Rawtenstall, stripped off as she prepared to open her own health food store in Manchester’s Arndale Centre this weekend.

And with the support of her ex-footballer husband Phil, the 39-year-old’s goal is to convince the masses of the benefits of organic and additive-free produce.

Naked lifesize cardboard cut-outs of the former Burnley St Hilda’s girl will be used to promote her inaugural WinNaturally store in the city’s Halle Square mall.

Julie, nee Killelea, a company secretary for her family construction firm before marrying former England defender Phil, said: “Nowadays people are always looking for quick fixes, be it ready meals, weight loss or recovering from an illness.

“They are too keen to put food and chemicals into their body without thinking about the long-term consequences. The idea behind this was to highlight there are ways to be the way we want to be, but naturally, the way nature intended.

“I was nervous about stripping for the camera but I felt it captured the essence of WinNaturally.”

The couple, who lived together in Crawshawbooth before relocating to Hale, became vegetarians after Julie suffered a serious complication following the birth of her second daughter, Isabella.

Now the Nevilles also advocate natural alternatives to conventional medicines. Their company and its sports nutrition range also has tie-ups with a number of Premier League and Championship clubs.
