A NURSE has raised more than £2,000 to give extra support to head and neck cancer patients in East Lancashire.
Teresa Lynch, a sister on the day case unit at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, organised a Ladies Lunch at the Whitehall Hotel in Darwen in May, and handed over the proceeds from the event this week.
Teresa, from Oswald-twistle, said: “My husband was successfully treated by the head and neck team and, as a thank you to them, I wanted to do something special.
“I have helped out at other Ladies Lunch charity events and knew it would be a fun way to raise money.
“It was a very fun organised event and I would like to thank everyone who came along.”
