POLICE investigating allegations former Manchester United boss David Moyes assaulted a man outside a Clitheroe bar have decided not to take any further action.

The Emporium, in Moor Lane, was propelled into the national spotlight after Josh Gillibrand, from St Peter’s Close, Salesbury, complained that Mr Moyes attacked him in May.

Detectives launched an inquiry into the allegations and spoke to both men and other witnesses.

Nobody was arrested.

Officers decided that it was ‘the most appropriate course of action’ not to take any further action.
