A shoplifter who helped himself to trainers from T K Maxx put them on and tried to walk out, a court heard.
Gary Roger Bradley, 51, who also pinched a T-shirt, had committed 87 previous offences of theft over 35 years.
Bradley, of Westgate, Burnley, admitted theft to the value of £79.99 in the town on May 23 and committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge.
He was given a six month community order, with supervision and a six week, 9pm to 7am curfew.
The defendant must pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge.
