HODDLESDEN youngster Sam Shaw is enjoying life after being given the all-clear from cancer.

Sam, five, of Glencoe Avenue, battled neuroblastoma for 14 months, receiving immunotherapy treatment in the US following a public fundraising appeal.

But now, mum Christine said he was thriving.

She said: “Over the last few weeks Sam has been enjoying life to the max.

“He has been attending school full time, enjoying going to friends’ birthday parties, going swimming, playing out in the sun and most importantly he is just being a cheeky, happy, chappy.

“It is truly amazing how far he has come.”
