THE deaf and mute manager of a Blackburn nursery has called for action to tackle drunks fighting and swearing outside the nearby Salvation Army hostel.

Chantelle de la Croix appealed in person to senior councillors for a crackdown on bad behaviour on King Street and Heaton Street.

She told Blackburn with Darwen Council's executive board about problems outside Bramwell Lifehouse upsetting infants at King’s Nursery and St Anne’s RC Primary School on Feilden Street.

Speaking through a sign interpreter, Ms de la Croix said: “I am concerned about the behaviour of some people from the Salvation Army hostel on Heaton Street.

“Many are alcoholics drinking on the street, sometimes fighting and shouting, using bad language. It is not good for nursery children, especially when they play outside.

“The problem seems to be getting worse.”

St Anne’s head teacher Barbara Cuff said: “It is not good for children in the playground. It’s definitely getting worse.”

Borough lead member for neighbourhoods Arshid Mahmood said: “We have asked police for a greater presence and will approach management at the THOMAS drop-in facility to agree a process of moving people on.

“We will no longer tolerate such behaviour and are taking action against owners of hostels and houses of multiple occupation to reinforce the message.”

A Salvation Army spokesman said: “We work with some of the most vulnerable people in society. Our staff have been in contact with the local authority to ‘safe clean’ the area. We have taken steps to make service users aware of the feelings locally and to work out the best way of eradicating any problems.”

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “We are aware of the concerns and we will work with partners to address them, taking appropriate action where necessary.”

This Lady along with the children should not have to witness such pathetic Behaviour and why should they have to tolerate it ? There is far too much bending over backwards for these low life,s. and it,s time the decent folk in society get listened to after all without the taxes from the working class these druggies and alcho,s would not have a roof over their heads and a warm bed to sleep in. Get it sorted Blackburn Council.

woolywords - when you reach out a helping hand to a drowning man you expect a little respect and gratitude. You expect said man to learn from his mistake and not put himself in the same position of risk again. A person who doesn't learn from his mistakes is destined to repeat them. There is only so much help that you can give. But some people have become too reliant on societies safeguards and use them to continue their cycle of abuse. There comes a time when society can't take anymore. Consequently society calls for tougher action, and who can blame them. Continuing anti social behaviour should result in the next stage - prison!

Because the children at the nursery are hearing. Perhaps you think the 2 and 3 year olds should have taken the case to the Council, rather than the nursery manager?
If the children are hearing then how can the nursery say it's Salvation Army residents??
The manager is deaf and mute, not stupid! Also she is not the only staff.
Staff hear, staff report to manager, manager reports to council.

It's a bit of a choice, isn't it?
Perpetual virgins, no wine: Small boys and wine..
Bit of a tough call..
Let's line up the women of Paradise..
Wide and beautiful/lovely eyes
Like pearls
Hairless except the eye brows and the head
White skinned
60 cubits tall
7 cubits wide
Companions of equal age

Transparent to the marrow of their bones..
Virgins,
Non-menstruating / non-urinating/ non-defecating and childfree...

tough call to beat that
but..
Round about them will serve, to them, boys (handsome) as pearls well-guarded.
There will go round them youths of perpetual freshness; when you see them, you would think them scattered pearls..
"la muzhab", is not the word, as there is, boys, of perpetual freshness, that never bleed.
Read Surah 76:19...
For I have brought you, nothing but, the word of Islam.

I have an idea. Stop giving these lot benefit payments that they are not entitled to unless they have paid into the system. Also stop the extra payments because they have an alcohol problem.

I bet they all have long criminal records. Bang them inside for a good while. 3 strikes and you are out-with hard labour.

I moved out of the country last year due to scum like this. It will only get worse around the area.

No more of my tax will be spent on them.

Am as good to the Muslim, as to any man.
I lived on Altom St, contributed to that mosque,

It gained me protection, respect and, every month, a free meal ihe mosque.
My house, my car and personal safety was guaranteed..
for £20 a week.
I've even been in muslim places, in this town and threatened; then surrounded by people; then they are told, 'he is with us'.
Try that, with your swinton insurance.

Much as any kindness gifted to you, you've passed on.

Passed on.

But, to write as you do, isn't nice.
And, as friend of the world, take that back.
Your words were, not nice.

do what you like with me,
never them!
It is written that,
the way that we treat people is best written in what Ghandi said,
"Any society, any nation, is judged on the basis of how it treats its weakest members -- the last, the least, the littlest."
Puff up youself, get tuff..expect to be deflated, from your past..
I don't know what you're on pal, but put me down for 3 pints of it.
