A DESIGNER from Burnley who has shown her work at London Fashion Week and has a host of celebrity clients, has been commissioned to create the bridesmaids dresses for a reality TV wedding.

Carrie-Ann Kay, who works from her home studio in Harle Syke, and the small team of staff for her label Rene K, have crafted the couture dresses for The Only Way Is Essex star Leah Wright with a summery look, to fit the theme of her wedding in Spain over the next fortnight.

Leah is cousin to Jessica Wright and sister to Elliot Wright of the ITV show, and appeared alongside them last series.

The ceremony is set to appear in celebrity news magazine OK, and will be broadcast during the current series of TOWIE.

Carrie-Ann, who has been creating bespoke dresses to fit specific body measurements to be sold at high street prices for 15 years, said: “It is quite exciting seeing them on TV and in magazines.

Lancashire Telegraph:

“I usually sit down with a glass of wine and a chocolate bar and enjoy it.

“It can be quite last minute with the TOWIE girls though. I get calls and texts and messages from them saying ‘I’ve got a film premiere to go to in two days, can you make me a dress that looks like this one?’ “Then they’ll get back in touch saying ‘what necklace or handbag do you think I should wear with it?’ “I have friends that make accessories, and that’s when I bring them in.

“I can end up talking to the TOWIE girls until 3am sometimes.”

Leah got in touch with Carre-Ann through knowing some of her other clients, which include Jasmin Walia, Danielle Armstrong, Chloe Sims and Ferne McCann from the show plus singer Mutya Buena from MKS (formerly the pop group the Sugababes), among others.
