PEDAL power was pushed to the limit as dozens of racers took part in the fifth annual Darwen Pedal Car Grand Prix.
Hundreds turned out to watch the action as the cars hurtled round the town centre course.
Teams from Crown Paints, The Bridgewater pub, The Bee, 2BR, K9, Mr Fu’s, The Bob Inn and the 105th Manchester Scouts took part in the two-hour relay around Church Street, Croft Street and Market Street.
The Scouts were crowned the winners and runners-up, with Crown Paints third. Darwen Town Council mayor Trevor Maxfield said: “Once again it was a tremendous success.
