A RIBBLE Valley pub is hosting a charity music afternoon later this month.

The Lord Nelson in Whalley Old Road, York, near Langho, will host the event on Sunday, July 20, from 1pm to 8pm.

All of the proceeds from ‘Lord Nelson Rocks’ will be donated to East Lancashire Hospice.

Admission is £3 and kids go free.

It will include performances from Tickety Boo, Kickstart, Twist and Shout and Mike Harling.

The pub has just been reopened following a major internal refurbishment project. It has also started serving food.

The tenants, Peter and Nicola Loftus ,have been running the 150-year-old pub in Whalley Old Road for just over three years.
