A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after being trapped in a car following a crash this morning.

The emergency services were called to the scene in Blackburn following reports of the crash between a car and a taxi at 6.45am.

The woman in her 30s was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital after suffering minor injuries.

The incident happened at the roundabout of Haslingden Road, Grimshaw Park and Rockcliffe Street.

The roads were partially blocked while the emergency services freed the passenger and cleared the cars from the road.

The two cars involved a silver Vauxhall Zafira and a blue Vauxhall Vectra.
