A HYNDBURN councillor is bidding to cycle 127 miles in two days for charity.
Labour councillor for Milnshaw ward, Paul Cox, will be joined by rider Ray Smith as he cycles the length of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal for Accrington Blind Society and North West Air Ambulance on Thursday and Friday.
Coun Cox said: “The halfway point is in Hyndburn, right in the centre of Church, so we decided to ride the entire route in aid of two charities that help many residents of this area.”
The ride will also represent one of Hyndburn Mayor Munsif Dad’s charities. He said: “This is a fantastic effort.”
