EIGHTEEN affordable homes will soon be on the market at a new development in Longridge.

The two and three-bedroom bungalows and houses at Romans Crossing in Preston Road are available for rent or shared ownership.

They were specially developed by Miller Homes in partnership with Ribble Valley Borough Council and Adactus Housing.

The scheme has four two-bedroom houses and six two-bedroom bungalows for rent and two two-bedroom houses and six three-bedroom houses for shared ownership.

It will launched with a registration event at the Old Station Buildings in Berry Lane, Longridge, from 3 to 6pm on Wednesday, July 16.

Ribble Valley council housing boss Colin Hirst said: “The provision of affordable housing is one of the biggest challenges facing the council and we are working closely with our housing partners to address this problem. This excellent scheme will make much-needed high-quality rental and shared ownership properties available in Longridge.”
