SEVEN more Brazilians are preparing to dazzle an expectant crowd as Planet Circus makes a stop-off in East Lancashire.

The devil-may-care attitude of the OMG Riders, appearing at Nelson’s Carr Road showground until Sunday, would do World Cup stars Neymar, Oscar and Fred proud.

Their Globe of Death — where riders reach speeds of 60mph inside the confines of a steel cage — will take centre stage.

Peter Pavlov, 14, ‘Europe’s youngest stunt rider’, will join the contingent in the big top, alongside acrobat Zolli, of the Cirque du Soleil, Las Vegas balance experts Fabian Attila and Moscow wire ace Vitalie. Pavlov was one of three riders who performed as part of the circus’s Britain’s Got Talent entry last April.

BGT judge David Walliams told the teenager: “You said the danger level was a nine, but that was at least a 10.5 or 11!”.

A Planet Circus spokesman said: “This year they ride as fast as ever but in a new and even more dangerous twist the Globe of Death splits in half in front of your very eyes, taking the riders higher and higher into the roof of the big top.”

The circus will next roll into Great Harwood for a five-night run from next Wednesday.
