POLICE carrying out speed checks in Mellor have caught 20 vehicles over the limit.
Officers and community road watch volunteers carried out the checks in Mellor Lane, between 6pm and 8pm on Monday.
Two motorists where caught driving in excess of 50mph, two at 50mph, five were over 40mph and the rest were doing above 30mph.
The speed checks were part of the on-going road watch scheme which sees officers monitoring areas throughout the Ribble Valley.

Police and volunteers have recently carried out checks in other parts of the borough including Henthorn Road in Clitheroe and Whalley Road in Billington.
