AROUND 50 Longridge residents attended a second follow-up public exhibition for a 220-house development in Dilworth Lane last week.
General comments of support for the plans by Taylor Wimpey were expressed on design improvements including a single vehicular access point, new bus stops, a safe pedestrian and cycle link through the site.
Andrew Thorley, regional director for Taylor Wimpey, said: “The community have been instrumental in improving the proposals to ensure they deliver the right scheme for Longridge in the right way.
“We are committed to forming a long-term relationship with the community, and we hope they have helped to design a development that will be a welcome addition to the community, and somewhere they may choose to live.
“A number of local people have already registered their interest in a new home on the development.”
